Built a comprehensive NBA player recommendation system and interactive guessing game with 99% accuracy

My first hackathon experience was incredibly exciting! When we found out the theme was popular culture, my team immediately knew we wanted to do something with the NBA. What started as a simple data analysis project quickly evolved into a comprehensive web application that I'm really proud of. I handled the web development side while my teammates focused on Python data processing, and we just clicked really well - each of us brought something different to the table and we learned a ton from each other. The most rewarding part was building the guessing game algorithm - seeing it correctly identify players with 99% accuracy after just a few strategic questions was incredibly satisfying. We worked through the night for 24 hours straight, combining NBA API data with salary information, implementing smart filtering algorithms, and creating a beautiful, responsive interface. It was a perfect example of how different technical backgrounds can come together to create something really special in a short timeframe.
